CLD Special Events
In addition to the several shows held each year, CenterLine Dressage hosts various other special educational and social events throughout the year.
Horse Fair
Since 1996 CLD has sponsored a notable dressage clinician to host a clinic and give lectures at Illlinois Horse Fair. Held the first weekend in March, Horse Fair boasts attendance around 15,000 at the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Some of the notable clinicians we have had since the first Horse Fair dressage clinic have been, Gerhard Politz, Col. Christian Carde, Betsy Steiner, Michael Keirkegaard, J. Ashton Moore, Kathy Connelley, and Lee Tubman. more info . . .
Ongoing Education
CLD hosts yearly round table discussions and seminars on a wide variety of topics. Past topics have been as varied as horse handling techniques, trailer loading of difficult horses, the horse's neck, throughness, biomechanical seminars, and performance anxiety and relaxation techniques.
Awards Banquet
CLD hosts an annual awards banquet in November that recognizes the achievements of CenterLine members. To compete for these awards each rider must be a member and each horse must be enrolled in the CLD award program. View pictures and read about the 2007 Awards Banquet . . .
CLD Christmas Party
Each year the CenterLine Christmas Party gives memebers a social evening and a chance to raise funds for special projects through the spirited bidding of auction items.
