CenterLine Dressage Shows

CenterLine Dressage offers three shows each season to cater to the various riding levels that comprise our club, see the calendar for specific information. For information on Al Khamsa Dressage or Al Khamsa Fall Dressage see the CILD Omnibus on the downloads page.

The first on the show calendar is IceBreaker. Traditionally it is held on the last Saturday of April at StarWest. It has been held since 1981 and offers a full range of classes from Intro to Grand Prix. Usually IceBreaker is a two or three arena affair with horses from several states attending to test the waters in the new show year. (Prizelist here.)

FireCracker is traditionally held on the Saturday closest to the Fourth of July. This is a lower level show with a secondary emphasis on musical rides. This is a smaller show, only offering Introductory classes and Training Level. This formate leaves the judge time to school each rider a little following their last class. Then everyone enjoys the musical presentations which may be multiple horse rides or Freestyles up to GP. (Prizelist here.)

The first USEF/USDF CenterLine Classic Dressage Show was held at StarWest beginning in 1986. It has now divided into Classic I and II held at the Illinois State Fairgrounds on the weekend preceding Labor Day. Classic is a two ring show offering all levels, from Intro to Grand Prix. It features the Cheryl Finke Memorial Trophy for the highest scoring Freestyle performed on that weekend to honor a former manager of the Classic. (Prizelist here.)
