Heartland Equine Clinic Tour, Lecture, & Potluck
April 18, 2010
On Sunday, April 18 CLD members were graciously hosted to a private tour, presentation, & potluck by Dr. John & Cindy O'Keefe and Dr. Rachel Boyce of Heartland Equine Health Center, LLC. CLD members enjoyed a private tour of the new facility as well as brief lectures by Dr. Rachel Boyce (speaking on hay quality and nutrition) and Dr. John O'Keefe (speaking on colic).

Michalak Youth Clinic

CenterLine Dressage is proud to sponsor Melanie Michalak in a unique combination of music and riding and enthusiasm that is infectious.
Format
Tentative schedule: Saturday (all day) & Sunday (morning only)

12:15 Lunch All are invited to share in a Potluck lunch.

Cost
Riding lessons will be 45 min private sessions at a subsidized cost of $30 for CLD Youth Members.
If all the Youth slots are not filled on Saturday, Adult CLD Members may ride for $75 per lesson.
Adults may ride on Sunday at $75 for CLD members and at $85 for non members.
Pratense Farms requires all riders under the age of 18 to wear a ASTM hard helmet. All other riders are asked to wear helmets but are not required to do so. This clinic will be filled on a first come, first served basis.
We have 9 ride times available each day. Overnight stabling is limited, day stalls are available.
Auditors are welcome at no charge.

Politz Lecture on USDF Education

CenterLine Dressage is happy to continue the Continue Learning Dressage series with Gerhard Politz's lecture and discussion on USDF Learning Opportuities and dressage education in the United States. Gerhard Politz is a longtime dressage trainer and clinician. Active in the national press, Politz has been a prominent working member of USDF helping to institue the Instructor's Certification Program, editing the Lunging Manual, helping to codifying the USDF Manual and the recent clarification of the training pyramid.
Format
At 5 pm on Saturday, March 20, immediately following the barn tour of Pratense Farms, CLD members are invited to listen to Gerhard Politz give an overview of the various educational opportunities that USDF has to offer.
Following the discussion, a potluck dinner will be shared. Drinks will be provided by Pratense, please bring something for everyone to enjoy. Read more on Gerhard Politz at his website.

Schumacher "Building Blocks of Dressage"

CenterLine Dressage was happy to sponsor the Continue Learning Dressage series with Conrad Schumacher's "Building Blocks of Dressage" video with a discussion that followed.
Format
At 3 pm on Saturday, February 27 18 CLD members and guests viewed the Conrad Schumacher video "Building Blocks of Dressage" in the lounge at StarWest. Discussion led by Kate Fleming-Kuhn followed viewing the video. Many CLD members who have ridden with Schumacher were in attendance.
