CLD/ARAB Inc. Education Day Event with Jay Solomon

Eleven members of ARAB, Inc. and CenterLine Dressage attended the February 17 presentation of Jay Solomon, U of I Extension Ag Engineer. An excellent potluck preceded the event held at the Timber Lodge, Sangamon County Fairgrounds, New Berlin.
Mr. Solomon started his talk with a Power Point presentation on manure management. He covered current Illinois laws for distribution and storage. He passed out applications for the construction of agricultural buildings. He gave guidelines for air exchange and ventilation and sources for building plans. In the questions and answer phase, premises identification numbers were discussed. Brochures were distributed for a series of equine workshops in Sangamon County that are being held this spring.
